singapore standard chartered MARATHON!!
that is me and my darling at the FINISHING LINE of the singapore standard chartered marathon!! keong did extremely well this year, he clocked a timing of 4hours and 30 mins..well done!! so much better than last yr's 5 hours +. but i was late. when he called me at 11am, i was still at home, about to leave the house. wanted to get a lift from jeanette but they planned to go at 11plus which was kinda too late. so i decided to leave at 11..but i didn't manage to cathc keong at the fininshing line! i was so disappointed when he called me at 11am. nevertheless, i still rushed down and along the way, i bought his fave bagel from cedele and my fave sticky walnut muffin!! haha..to atone for my sin of arriving late.
he introduced his scouts seniors to me. all of them ran the marathon too except for wayne. felt kinda weird..coz all guys and i'm the only girl. but i think he wanted to intro his frenz to me. i guess its time for me to meet his frenz too, afterall, we ahve been together for 6 years..but i have still yet to see neil. there'll be a chance soon..
when i was watching the race, kinda felit inspired. it happens all the time, at all the races which i went to support him. but i did not have the courage and determination to train and practise for them. jeanette jioed me to run the half marathon next yr...haha...i was thinking of the 10km one actually!! sharon was interested too! anyway, this will be a year later, we shall see how many of us actually remember. but i'm pretty sure next year i will run, juz not sure about the distance though. i can jio kaiping, seok kuan, baoling and shihui to run too!
oh ya, i collected my camera on sat!!! i was SO HAPPY coz they repaired the batt cover and the shutter (image) everything for the cost of $120!! cheap rite? of course..the konica minolta servcie centre told me it will cost at least $120 to repair the batt cover and will take around 2-3 months, and camera workshop only took 2 days to repair and charged me for $120! they attributed the low costs to cheaper camera parts which they were able to get. it certainly made my day and now i will be extra careful when handling my digi cam. and no more lending to people. horray...now my blog will ahve more photos!!
on fri, went to jeanette's bday party. me and keong had a hard time getting her present. city hall area was so packed wif ppl doing xmas shopping and it made the both of us so frustrated. on top of that, i was buying on behalf of 8 people while keong was buying for yiyuan and gariet. actually, i dun mind shopping for present but that day jzu wasnt the day. jzu too much crowd and we have no idea wat to buy. and the both of us, more of keong were complaining how appreciated we felt. especially keong, which i think is true. for his 21st, jeanette, yiyuan, gariet they all didn't get him a present at all. beside presents from me, say heng and gang were the next ppl who remembered and gave him something. neil bought him dinner, their usual style-eat and no gift. well, i guess this is part and parcel of life. we expect ppl to appreciate us but others also expect us to appreciate them. i believe there will be one party who will gain more, and the other lose more. but wat we lose here, we might gain back elsewhere. so no point being so calculative..life gonna be miserable then. but of course, sometimes its good to let off some steam.
